Post Merger Workflow Alignment
Our client, a large international energy company had recently acquired a large competitor. Post merger activities were well underway in most areas of the company. The technical service group however, was experiencing difficulty in establishing their mandate. There appeared to be two very separate and disparate sets of processes, tools, organizational structures, procedures and approaches used by the former organizations.
We worked with this client to establish common vision and service goals. Through a series of process reviews and workshops, the activities and tasks related to the common goals were identified and established. Issues, opportunities and recommendations were identified with respect to the organizational structure, roles, processes, data and technologies in use.
The recommended new structure and associated change plans for services, processes, procedures, tools and technology were accepted and immediately implemented ending months of uncertainly, internal conflict and low productivity. Perhaps even more importantly, the new integrated service plan provided a direction everyone could get excited about!
